THREE DECADES IN SUPPORT OF FORESTS

The origins of the Audemars Piguet Foundation for Trees (formerly the Audemars Piguet Foundation) date back to 1992. At the time, Audemars Piguet was celebrating the 20th anniversary of its emblematic Royal Oak model. Rather than hosting a festive event, Jacques Louis Audemars wanted to create a Foundation that would allow communities around the world to benefit from forests as preserved as the Risoud forest surrounding the company’s headquarters in Le Brassus. This initiative was a tribute to AP’s roots in the Vallée de Joux, where natural resources, including forests, have enabled the watchmaking industry to develop and prosper.

"At the time, we were pioneers. Forest conservation was an obvious concern for us. Just look at the forests that surround us in the Vallée de Joux, a highly protected region. Many people around the world don’t have the same privilege."

Jasmine Audemars, Chair of the Audemars Piguet Foundations

Over three decades, the Audemars Piguet Foundation for Trees has supported more than 180 environmental protection projects in around 60 countries at a cost of around 20 million Swiss francs.
