The Parc naturel du Jorat aims to raise visitors’ awareness of the environment and the region’s natural and cultural heritage.
The Parc naturel du Jorat, located in the heart of the largest forest on the Swiss Plateau, is working to increase biodiversity, support visitors and strengthen the sustainable management of its resources.
To consolidate and enhance the services aimed at its visitors, including people with reduced mobility and schoolchildren, the Park has launched the "Reception infrastructure at the Parc naturel du Jorat" project. This includes the creation of a reception area and a shelter, as well as the setup of themed learning trails designed per school level in accordance with the local educational curriculum, the Plan d’études romand. The reception area will serve as a base camp for classes from the region wishing to do outdoor schooling while combining their working day with a visit to the educational trails. The development of these facilities and activities takes into account the Park's specific needs, as well as those of pupils, teachers and instructors.
By improving the quality of its facilities, the Parc naturel du Jorat aims to raise visitors’ awareness of the environment and the region's natural and cultural heritage, while positioning itself as a key player and promoter of outdoor education.
